A TikTok video shared by a server, Dean Redmond, captured a group of customers bluntly stating they wouldn’t be leaving a tip. The customers justified their stance as a way to advocate for fair wages for service staff. Redmond, taken aback, suggested the customers might be better off at a self-service restaurant like Panera if they didn’t plan to tip.
Dean posted on his site: I’m just confused at how they think my boss will even know they didn’t tip me? Since my manager is the one who puts in the tips and she doesn’t own the place or make my hourly
What do you think of this? Not only that they wouldn't tip, but they told him in advance. Does that lead to poorer service and attitude by the server?
