The birthday gift that Tom Cruise sends Dakota Fanning EVERY year

When talking with Kelly Clarkson, Dakota Fanning confirmed the sweet tradition of Tom Cruise giving her the same cool birthday gift every year.

She played his daughter in the movie "War of the Worlds" and revealed that the first gift she ever got from the 61-year-old was a Motorola Razr cell phone (although she joked she had no one to call at the time) on her 11th birthday. 

But on her 12th birthday, he stepped up his gift game. 

“He always sends me the same thing every year after the cell phone. I loved shoes when I was little and I started to be able to fit into really small adult shoes when I was on the War of the Worlds press tour, so I was very excited about them. From that birthday on, he always sends me shoes.” 

“That’s so nice. That’s so random too. I love it. You must have a massive shoe collection brought to you by Tom Cruise,” Clarkson joked, while Fanning agreed that the gesture is “very sweet.”
