Arizona park rangers have found a new use for their cars during the scorching heat wave that has swept through the US. They successfully baked banana bread on their car dashboard in temperatures reaching 105 degrees at Saguaro National Park near Tucson.
… The rangers revealed their unconventional cooking tutorial on Facebook, explaining how the dashboard of a car can reach up to 200 degrees in just an hour of direct sunlight in Arizona. This unique method of cooking involved placing the loaf pans on the dashboard at 97 degrees and watching the bread bake to perfection until it reached a golden brown hue. Although still a bit soft inside, the banana bread was deemed a tasty success.
