David Jones walked 30 miles through mud and debris in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene to attend his daughter's wedding. Jones began his drive from his home in South Carolina when state troopers told him the bridges on the interstate were washed out. He started his epic overnight trek on foot via back roads with his cell phone light and a reflector stake to stop any emergency vehicles from running over him.
