Just a week before Christmas, one family says they reluctantly gave up their dog to a local shelter.
On Dec. 15, an Arizona Humane Society employee found Armando tied up in the Sunnyslope Campus shelter parking lot. The dog was left with a heartbreaking note. Shelter employees say they have seen an increase in this type of activity. They say housing instability, the inability to cover veterinary care are just a few of the reasons.
Fortunately for Armondo, his Christmas wish came true...on Christmas eve. Watch!
