Maybe Jimmy Fallon needs a cell phone with notifications that interrupt his day.
Appearing this week on The View, Joy Behar confronted Fallon during Tuesday's live broadcast, over a prior admission she made indicating that she'd accidentally emailed the Tonight Show host to congratulate him on hosting the Oscars when she actually intended the email for 96th Academy Awards emcee Jimmy Kimmel.
After Fallon, 50, told a story about a recent email mixup of his own, Behar chimed in to remind him of her past correspondence that never reached its intended recipient, according to Fallon.
"It's funny, because last year I sent an email to Jimmy Kimmel to compliment him on his job he did at the Oscars, but I sent it to you by mistake and I never heard back, even though it wasn't for you, I sent it to you," Behar said.
"You keep doing this, by the way, Joy. Every time I come on, you tell me that you emailed me. You don't have my email. There's no way. I've never gotten a thing from you," Fallon said, while the audience laughed and Behar pulled out her cell phone to search through her messages.
"What's that? Huh? What's that?" Behar said, holding her phone up to Fallon's face. He yielded.
"Oh, it's me!" Fallon said. "That is me. I never got anything from you for Jimmy Kimmel. I'll let Jimmy Kimmel know he did a great job at the Oscars."
