If cats really do have 9 lives, Pablo the Burmese kitten might be down to 8
After going missing for over an hour, Pablo’s worried mum finally found him... in the washing machine. He’d snuck in and accidentally went through a full 55-minute cold cycle — including 3000 spins!
He was rushed to SASH Gold Coast’s 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care in in critical condition. Thankfully, under the expert care of the region’s only Specialist Emergency & Critical Care team (Dr Patricia Rosenstein, Dr Ella Yarsley, Dr Sarah Purcell & Dr Emily Ireland) along with our amazing Emergency Vets and Nurses, Pablo received intensive, round-the-clock care — from medication and monitoring, to eye drops and even nose wipes.
After 7 days in hospital, Pablo made a full recovery, with only minor injuries to his paw and the tip of his tail. He’s still visiting us for bandage changes, check-ups and cuddles with Specialist Surgeon, Dr Jason Mouatt.
Despite his cheeky curiosity, Pablo the miracle cat is here today thanks to his quick-thinking and loving human crew, who entrusted our specialist-led team to provide care when Pablo needed it most. He's beautiful...and a survivor!!
