It's a PURR-fect Match!

It's not easy for an older pet to get adopted from a shelter, but this story has a happy ending.

19 year old Gus arrived at the Humane Society of Catawba County in North Carolina last month; his previous owner was heart-broken but couldn't keep the cat anymore due to work commitments.

Then someone called, looking for a "senior" cat for a 101 year old woman who had just lost her cat. They had given Penny a stuffed cat, hoping that would help, but it didn't purr.

The timing was purr-fect. Gus (who is 133 in cat years) needed a home and Penny needed a cat.

And it looks like happily ever after, doesn't it?
