Memorial Health hosts annual NICU Halloween costume contest

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – It's time for one of the cutest costume contests in Savannah.

Memorial Health is hosting its annual Halloween contest for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Over 30 newborns dressed up as characters to compete.

But these young ones don't need costumes to prove they're superheroes. The babies, born too early, are fighting a greater risk for health problems.

Law enforcement focusing on Halloween safety, increase patrols for trick-or-treating

To show your support, visit Memorial Health's Facebook page. The picture with the most likes, comments and shares will win.

The online contest will run until 9 a.m. on Friday.

Memorial Health's 82-bed NICU offers 24/7 newborn care by specially trained doctors, nurses and other medical professionals.
