A South Carolina woman’s message in a bottle finally found its way to shore nearly three decades after she first wrote it. Miranda Chavez shared a photo of the letter after a couple in Georgia discovered the 29-year-old message. Miranda placed the message in a glass bottle and tossed it in the ocean in 1988. Linda Humphries and her husband David found the letter just 90 miles down the coast after their home state of Georgia had been hit by Hurricane Irma. Humphries managed to track Miranda down despite the fact the address she wrote on the letter no longer exists.
