Customer Suing L.L. Bean for Ending Lifetime Refunds Policy

A loyal L.L. Bean customer is suing the company after it announced last week that it was ending its famous lifetime refund policy because people were abusing it by returning heavily worn products or products they bought at yard sales. Victor Bondi filed a federal lawsuit accusing L.L. Bean of breach of warranty, saying the returns policy has always been what he called the "basis of the bargain" for all his purchases from them and that the company had broken its promise. L.L. Bean's new policy limits returns to one year.

Well there's always Land's End!
