WOMAN GIVES SHELTERED 26-YEAR-OLD CAT A NEW HOME

IA 26-year-old cat has a new home. The elderly cat, named Thomas, was surrendered to the Baltimore, Maryland, County Animal Shelter last month after its owner was no longer able to take care of the animal. A cat like Thomas usually wouldn’t be an easy sell, so when Laura Cassiday saw the shelter’s Facebook post about Thomas, she said she knew she had to take in the cat. She explained: “Pretty much when I saw ’26’ I knew there was no way I was leaving him there.” Healthy domesticated cats typically can live up to 20 years, meaning Thomas the 26-year-cat is an extreme senior citizen in the feline world.

This is Laura who said she could not leave a 26 year old cat at the shelter!
