With preparations full steams ahead for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding – which takes place on May 19th – a bizarre commemorative plate has replaced Prince Harry with fellow redhead Ed Sheeran.
The souvenir plate is on sale on the online marketplace Etsy, and was spotted by former royal chef Darren McGrady. “Loving all the #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle memorabilia,” he tweeted. “Just think some companies should do a little more research first.”
The seller of the plate insists that Sheeran’s surprising presence is intentional, with the product being marketed as an “alternative” commemorative item. The description encourages you to “celebrate THE wedding of the year with this beautiful china plate featuring the portraits of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle”.
According to its creator, she was inspired by a mug commemorating the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. In that case, a picture of Prince Harry was printed on the mug by mistake.
