Woman Says Delta Let Man Go After She Reported Him Sexually Assaulting Her

A 23-year-old woman is claiming that Delta Air Lines didn't detain another passenger after he sexually assaulted her during a June 16th flight from St. Paul, Minnesota, to Los Angeles. Delany Luh wrote on Twitter that she was abruptly awakened about two hours into the flight when the man sitting next to her, who she claims had been drinking, put his hands down her leggings. Luh told TV station KTLA that she began screaming at him to stop and had to climb over him to exit the row when he wouldn't get up to let her pass. Luh said she went to a flight attendant for help and was reseated for the rest of the flight. Luh tweeted that the crew told her they'd handle the situation when they landed, but instead they let the man leave without detaining him and gave her a $200 voucher as compensation. She said police arrived soon after and told her Delta didn't follow "the correct protocol" for what had happened. Delta said in a statement that it's investigating the incident and told Fox News, "The incident was reported to local and federal law enforcement shortly after the aircraft landed." Delta reached out to Luh on Twitter and she told them to contact her lawyer.
