STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL TO BEGIN ON MONDAY

Chatham County Department of Public Works will begin removing storm debris from within the public right-of-way on Monday, July 30, 2018. The debris removal is isolated to the Grays Subdivision and Oatland Island, and removal will continue until all debris is completely cleared from the public right-of-way. Regular dry trash service will remain on schedule.

Chatham County Department of Public Works wishes to remind citizens that any hired tree service to remove debris from private property should be responsible for the disposal of the debris. Additionally, if a resident chooses to place the debris they have removed themselves in the road right of way, they should place the debris on the roadside of a ditch, off utility structures, and not in the roadway. Debris removed by a resident and placed roadside for Chatham County to remove should be cut into 4 foot lengths.
