After Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Vansledright said “I Do” in Michigan on August 11 they hit their first bump in the road: how to feed 150 guests. The couple learned just before the ceremony that their caterer thought the wedding was August 18. As guests arrived, family made a last minute request to the restaurant next door to the venue to see if they could help them feed their guests. The owner of Sonder Eatery says when the couple came over in tears, there was no way he would say no. In just 90 minutes, Sonder’s staff put together a cocktail hour and more than 150 meals. They even made sure everyone had their choice of chicken or beef, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Kudos! This was a wonderful thing to do.
… By the way: The families of the bride and groom elected not to say who the caterer is. Class move considering it was an honest mistake that would’ve lead to the company getting shredded on social media.
