COMMUNITY RALLIES TOGETHER TO HELP DYING DOG

A community hit hard by Hurricane Florence put aside all their day-to-day troubles to help a dying dog with its bucket list. Jack, a 14-year-old Parson Russell Terrier, was diagnosed with jaw cancer after he was rushed to the vet with a bloody mouth. The Miller family, which was devastated by the news, created a bucket list to make Jack happy in his final days. Owner Jack Miller posted on Facebook about one of the first things on the list: a boat ride to an uninhabited island. Within minutes, the Millers had dozens of offers from members of the Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, community. In addition to boat rides, they’ve also had people offering up spa visits, a state trooper offering a ride in his patrol car, and toys and gifts.
