America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia will host a Drive Thru Food Distribution for Low Income families on Saturday, January 26th from 9 -11am while supplies last. This is first come, first served but income verification will be required by presenting an EBT or WIC card.
Federal workers that have been affected by the shutdown are welcome to come to the Drive Thru Food Distribution.
Federal workers are also able to come between the hours of 7:30am – 3pm, Monday – Friday if they prefer. We have been offering assistance since last week and will continue to as needed.
Mary Jane Crouch, executive director of America's Second Harvest states “winter is a tough time for our neighbors. So many of our clients are forced to make the difficult decision of whether to pay for heat or provide food for their family. We are pleased to offer this Drive Thru Food Distribution and provide a little assistance to alleviate the heat or eat dilemma, especially when the weather is turning colder.”
