What's left for Paul McCartney to accomplish? How about a children's book?

Paul McCartney released the artwork for Hey Grandude!, his upcoming children's book due out in September via Random House Books for Young Readers. The former-Beatle posted on his official website (PaulMcCartney.com): "I’m excited to share the cover of my new children’s book Hey Grandude! which will be out later this year. I’ve worked on this with a great illustrator called Kathryn Durst and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!"

Early last year, we reported McCartney's latest animated feature, High In The Clouds, was back on track writer with Jon Croker joining the project, which is adapted from "Macca's" 2005 children's book. The film is based on the book's story, which was written by McCartney, longtime collaborator and illustrator Geoff Dunbar, and Philip Ardagh. Back in 2013 it was originally reported Tony Bancroft, best known for Disney's Mulan, would direct the movie from a screenplay by Josh Klausner, who wrote Shrek Forever After.

In addition to voicing one of the characters, McCartney has also written seven or eight new songs for the project. In 2015, two photos of McCartney collaborating with Lady Gaga on one of the songs popped up on Gaga's Instagram account. So far there has been no release date set for High In The Clouds.
