Did you see this while watching "Game of Thrones" this week?

When did medieval get so modern?

Game of Thrones takes place in the year 297 AC. The events of A Song of Ice and Fire begin. (The Prologue of A Game of Thrones takes place in 297 AC, and quite possibly the first few Daenerys chapters as well.) In the north, after thousands of years without encounter, the Others reappear in an attack on rangers from the Night's Watch and a group of free folk. Well that's not important right now. I didn't know they had a Starbucks back then. They must have.

Alert fans saw a major booboo in Sunday's show-- a Starbucks cup left on a table during a scene.

In the fourth episode titled “The Last of the Starks,” a coffee cup can be seen on a table next to Daenerys Targaryen during a celebration feast at Winterfell after the living defeated the Night King and his Army of the Dead in the previous episode.

It didn't take long for social media to heat up as fans took to Twitter to point out the coffee cup blunder in the 17th minute of the 78-minute episode — and slam the show’s creators for the flub.

Journalist Eric Seals tweeted: “So it takes @HBO @GameOfThrones almost 2 years to shoot season 8 and they forgot to take away #Daenerys #Targaryen’s @Starbucks cup in yesterday’s episode?? Oops! #starbuckscup

Another user, @IndianWriterV, quipped: “Apart from winter, Night King also brought Starbucks with him to Winterfell. Such a great guy he is.. #GameOfThrones.”

Other fans joked how would-be Starbucks workers would struggle writing Daenerys’ lengthy official title on a Starbucks cup.

“Feeling sorry for the starbucks barrister that had to write out ‘Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons’ #gameofthrones,” user @lewispayne wrote.

User @Eobard85 tweeted: “I think the real tragedy is that the Starbucks cashier had no room to write Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons etc etc #GameOfThrones.”
