A new study (by US Food) reveals that 28 percent of delivery drivers have taken food from a customer’s order. Earlier this month I shared the story of Chris Payton of York County, Pennsylvania,, who said he ordered food from Dickey’s Barbecue using the DoorDash food delivery app. After the driver dropped off his food, Chris said he opened up the box and discovered half of it had been eaten. Two of the six ribs he ordered were gone and what appeared to be bite marks were left behind. Dickey’s Barbecue said they had had previous issues with the same DoorDash driver.
