Actor Jon Voight says that racism was “solved long ago.” In a video message posted to Twitter, the 80-year-old defended the president, who he says isn’t “a racist, but a man who loves his country.” After saying that racism has been “solved,” Voight then invoked the Holocaust: “Let me talk about old wounds: the Holocaust. That, my friends, are wounds that live among the Jewish and non-Jewish that lost lives.”
