An Atlanta woman has been arrested after she was caught pretending to be a cop -- all in the name of free food! Pektra Edgerton and her friend, Gwinnett police officer Brandi Green. stopped by a Quik Trip in Gwinnett County. Green let the Edgerton hold her gun and badge so that she could get free snacks. Edgerton went into the store while the DCS officer waiting in the car. While the woman was in the store, Gwinnett Officer JT Smith saw her and didn't recognize her. He later pulled the woman over -- and she was still wearing her gun and badge. When he confronted her, she claimed she worked for DCS. Smith asked,"Are you a police officer, or are you not a police officer?" She responded, "So a black person walks into a store with a badge and a gun and it's an issue?" He replied, "It has nothing to do with you being black." Edgerton then revealed the truth, saying, "You don't have to be a police officer to go in there. I've been doing it for three years." After seeing the real cop, Brandi Green, in the car, he decided to call DCS to find out if she was still employed -- she was! A spokesman for DCS said in a statement, "Upon being made aware of Ms. Green's conduct, an internal investigation was initiated and Ms. Green was immediately suspended After Ms. Green was made aware of the forthcoming investigation, she resigned ... on the same day." Meanwhile, Edgerton was arrested with felony impersonating an officer. She bonded out of jail
