South, a World War II veteran, is approaching his 100th birthday on October 7 and has asked for one thing. In a Facebook post, Brookdale Senior Living in Waluga, Texas posted an image of South holding a sign sharing his birthday wish of receiving 100 birthday cards. South moved into Brookdale last year at the age of 98, and told the staff he wants to have all of the cards framed and hung on his walls.
