ALEX TREBEK RELEASES PSA ON PANCREATIC CANCER

Alex Trebek has launched a new PSA to help raise pancreatic cancer awareness. TheJeopardy! host was diagnosed last March. “I wished I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced before my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer,” Trebek says in the announcement, adding that other common symptoms include “mid-back pain, unexplained weight loss and the yellowing of the skin or eyes.” The cancer has one of the lowest survival rates because few people know the risks and are diagnosed as an advanced stage of the disease.

Alex Trebek supports the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC) and their global awareness initiative in a new public service announcement (PSA) about risk factors and symptoms of pancreatic cancer. World Pancreatic Cancer Day is Nov. 21, 2019.
