WOMAN CROCHETS BEANIES FOR THE HOMELESS

A country music legend bundles up against the winter cold each day in downtown Nashville. But then his hat and scarf disappear, only to be replaced by new ones the next day. A woman who works in the downtown area lost a brother to homelessness and has put her crocheting skills to work — placing a newly-knit beanie and scarf on a Chat Atkins statue every day. Each winter morning the warming objects appear on the iconic statue. Then… they’re gone by nightfall — only to be replaced the very next day.
