California Hwy Patrol rescues a Sea Lion crossing a busy highway

Marcia Cross Visits SeaWorld San Diego

It's always nice to see humans being bros to animals. Authorities in California spotted a sea lion pup attempting to slowly cross a busy stretch of highway near Los Angeles. A group of troopers used a snare and a blanket to catch the animal and then put it into a patrol car. They noted the animal "seemed to enjoy" being in the car. They took the animal to Long Beach Animal Control and later turned it over to the Marina Mammal Care Center in San Pedro. Officials say the pup will eventually be released back into the ocean.
