Wild animals are not pets. Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared a video on Twitter showing a woman luring a deer into her house in Evergreen and feed them human food. They say it's harmful to both people and wild animals to do such a thing, and have slapped her with a charge of feeding big-game wildlife, an offense that carries a maximum fine of $100 per incident.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife posted the video along with this warning:

These egregious acts of feeding wildlife need to stop. It is selfish and dangerous, for both the animals and people, plus it is illegal.

Let wildlife be wild, these animals are not pets.

"It is selfish and unethical to feed big-game," Area Wildlife Manager Mark Lamb saidin a department release."You are going to end up unintentionally killing those animals and also putting yourself in harm's way. If what you want is a pet or just to connect with an animal, choose a domestic breed that has evolved to live with people."
