Each February 14th Delta passes out employee profit sharing checks and for the last 5+ years the annual payout has been more than $1 Billion. However, this year the airline is handing out $1.5 Billion to their employees, which represents a record for the annual share-the-wealth program.
On average, each employee will receive the equivalent of two months pay on the 14th.
