SOUTHWEST IMPLEMENTS ENHANCED AIRCRAFT CLEANING PROGRAM_ Due to the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19, Southwest Airlines says it has enhanced its aircraft cleaning process, and will now equip all of its aircraft with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, which filters out recirculated air onboard each plane to remove airborne particles. HEPA filters are also used in hospitals to provide patients with clean air.

APPLE: GO AHEAD AND USE DISINFECTING WIPES TO CLEAN DEVICES_ Apple is changing its tune about whether customers should use household disinfecting wipes to clean iPhones and other glass hardware. According to an updated guide from the company, using disinfecting wipes containing Clorox or those that are soaked with isopropyl alcohol are both permissible.

… The announcement is a turnaround from previous guidelines by Apple which formerly advised customers that those same products could erode a special coating on the screen that reduces smudging from fingerprints. Instead, Apple is now advising its customers to stay away from more heavy-duty cleaners such as ‘aerosol sprays, bleaches, or abrasives’ — basically anything you might be worried about getting on your hands.

OLYMPIC FLAME LIGHTING CEREMONY WILL BE HELD WITHOUT SPECTATORS_ The Summer Olympics flame lighting ceremony will be held Thursday in Olympia, Greece with only 100 guests from the International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee. Greece recently barred fans from sporting events and asked schools to suspend field trips for two weeks. ADDITIONALLY for the benefit of the crew, the contestants and the hosts (especially Alex Trebek battling pancreatic cancer) "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy" will record the next batch of programs WITHOUT a studio audience.

MADONNA CANCELS REMAINING PARIS GIGS OVER CORONAVIRUS_ Madonna on Monday called off two concerts in Paris, the last dates in her Madame X World Tour, after French authorities banned large gatherings to stem the coronavirus spread. The March 10 and 11 shows in Paris were to be the last stage in Madonna’s tour, which kicked off in New York last September.
