Apple revises its suggestions about how to clean your iPhone

Northern Italy Locks Down To Try Prevent The Spread Of Coronavirus

Everyone should be washing their hands more, but did you ever think about the germs that could lurk on your phone? Apple has actually changed the cleaning instruction section of its website to clarify that you can actually use disinfectant wipes on their products without destroying them. The brand says, "Using a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces." They also caution against using bleach, and say not to get any moisture in any opening of your iPhone or other products. Previously, Apple only advised using water for cleaning since some substances can damage the coating applied to keep the touchscreens free of fingerprints. Also, please wash your hands after disinfecting your device.
