Stores and markets announce special hours for customers over age 60

US-WEATHER-ENVIORNMENT

Stop & Shop is the latest grocery store chain to set aside special hours for customers over 60 in a bid to protect those most vulnerable to the coronavirus. The grocery, which has more than 400 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island, announced that only customers in that age group will be allowed to shop in its stores between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The measure follows similar announcements by chains like Dollar General. Other supermarkets say they are considering doing the same.
