Neil Diamond updates "Sweet Caroline" with a lyric change for COVID-19

It has been well over a year since the legendary Neil Diamond was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and he ceased his performing and recording. The world can use his music again and fortunately he has given us a cool gift.

His classic song "Sweet Carolina" includes the lyrics "hands, touching hands, reaching out, touching you, touching me."

Now in a brand new video Neil has generously recorded, he brings us into 2020 with a new version of the song which he sings while his sweet dog (and his fans around the world) listen.

Enjoy!

This song lives on. In the videos below, after a "shelter in place" order, residents of a Boston neighborhood open their windows, sunroofs, and take to the streets to lift their voices in song.

And then Quarantined but determined San Francisco residents try to keep upbeat, thousands of people stuck inside their homes because of the coronavirus sang together Thursday evening.
