Man spends $900 to buy gas for Detroit area nurses

Free gas

As healthcare workers risk their lives to treat patients infected with the coronavirus, a Detroit man decided to use his $900 in savings to buy gas for nurses. Last Wednesday and Thursday, after dropping his wife at her job at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Allen Marshall stood outside the Exxon Express station along the route to Detroit Medical Center with a sign that read “FREE GAS FOR NURSES.” Michigan is one of the hardest-hit states in the US. Marshall bought gas for 50-80 people over the two days he spent at the Exxon.
