COP USES MATING CALL IN PHONE APP TO HELP CAPTURE ESCAPED PEACOCK!

A Boston peacock was apparently fed up with the coronavirus lockdown. An officer who was on patrol near the Franklin Park Zoo about 6 AM Monday was approached by a concerned citizen that the bird had escaped from the closed facility. The quick-thinking officer tracked down a peacock mating call on his smartphone, using it to attract the “extremely large, slightly intimidating, and quite beautiful” bird, according to a press release. Using the device, the officer successfully lured the bird into a fenced-in yard, where it was picked up by Boston Animal Control. Watch the officer's discussion of how he did this. Click here
