This isn’t what you’d expect to show up on your doorbell camera. Crawford Lewis of Venice, Florida said he had an alert on the app for his doorbell camera in the early hours of May 21st. He reviewed the footage and saw a large alligator wander onto his front porch, and climb atop a bench in an effort to reach a metal plaque bearing the image of sea turtles. The gator did not manage to pull the plaque off the wall, but it did break a potted plant while climbing down from the bench to leave.
The homeowner told a local TV station: "I'm glad I did not get up at 5:30 a.m. and open my front door"
