School librarian uses a drone to deliver books to kids

A school librarian in Virginia is using a drone to deliver books to kids who don't have many activities to keep them busy since so many things are closed because of the coronavirus. Kelly Passek, who works for the Montgomery County Public Schools, said that when remote learning began in the school district due to the coronavirus, it became difficult for her to make connections with students. But then she came up with the idea of delivering books to fulfill library requests using Wing, a drone service from Google's parent company Alphabet that her family often uses. Students can request to take out books using an online form.
