WOMAN ENDS UP ADOPTING DOG SHE UNKNOWINGLY BOUGHT FROM ALLEGED THIEVES

A bulldog allegedly stolen in Brampton, Ontario, has now been adopted by the woman who unknowingly bought the puppy from the suspects. Stephanie Barrantes was messaged by the illegitimate seller on Snapchat and sent two e-transfers totaling $1,000 for the dog. Barrantes never met the seller and agreed to pick-up the puppy at a park at a predetermined time and location . She wasn't aware the puppy had been stolen and picked it up without meeting the seller because of the coronavirus. With the help of police, Barrantes was able to connect with the puppy's owner and has now become the rightful owner of Loki at no extra cost.
