Imagine checking your security camera footage and seeing your mail slowly walking away. The creepy moment was caught on the front porch of a St. Louis, Missouri home recently. A sped-up version of the video shows the package twisting and turning as if moved by an invisible hand as it navigates across a few feet of paving to a nearby flower bed. It turns out the package was being carried by ants—but it’s not clear why. It’s possible it contained sugar, which is beloved by the insects, which are capable of lifting objects ten to 50 times their own body weight.
