A photo of the unconventional cake was shared recently on the “Wedding Shaming” subreddit. The single-tier cake features a topper that shows a bride with a rifle in hand, dragging her groom (who is wearing fatigues) on the ground. A deer, shell casings, and foliage are nearby, along with the words, “The Hunt Is Over.” Many commenters didn’t see the humor in the hunting-themed cake, and usually commenters interpreted the cake as suggesting the groom was dead. The bakery Graceful Cake Creations made the cake, and told Fox News that it’s a groom’s cake, and at that, is a popular theme for the specific type of cake. The baker notes, “A groom’s cake typically depicts a hobby or sport the groom is interested in.
