A union representing Disneyland employees in California said in a statement approximately 950 of its 3,000 members will be laid off on Nov. 1. About 6700 will be let go at Disney World in Florida and 28,000 total from its various parks.
USA Today reports attendance at all Disney parks which have reopened (California has not) amid the pandemic generally have been disappointing. Florida’s Walt Disney World, which was already operating its four theme parks with reduced hours, moved to an even shorter daily schedule this month.
