Some caring Blufftonians save the babies of a mother possum hit by a car

Kudos to some compassionate Blufftonians who took the time to save the babies of a mother possum hit by a car.

The possum was hit around 8:30/9:00 Sunday morning. Two bikers passing by noticed the possum and saw that’s it’s belly/pouch had movement although the mother possum had died. They stopped to help. Tried contacting critter control but at this point no one could come out. Noel DuPont, his wife Renelle and Ellen Mcandris successfully delivered 6 babies. Travis Davison, a vet living in Hampton Lakes transported the babies to his office. Hopefully the babies will survive.
