A Florida man who found a large iguana in his toilet tried unsuccessfully for several days to remove it before calling a trapper. Kurt Hilberth saw the spiny-tailed reptile splashing around in the bowl on July 24. But every time he donned protective clothing and tried to pull it out, the fast-moving lizard would swim back down into the hole. On day three of attempting to remove the commode crasher, he was able to grasp its hind legs and part of its tail. But the bowl beast slipped away, leaving the still squirming, broken-off end of its tail in Hilberth’s hands. Trapper Harold Rondan of Iguana Lifestyles was able to lure out the iguana by the strategic placement of a stick for it to crawl up and out. It worked.
