An exotic Steller's sea eagle escaped from National Aviary in Pittsburgh for a little over a week, but was brought back home eight days later. Kodiak escaped on September 25th from his habitat after living there for 17 years, and was seen a number of times around the Pittsburgh area. He was finally brought back to the aviary after he was spotted at a residence in Pine Township. Officials said the eagle was examined and determined to be in "excellent health and body condition." The statement said, "He is currently resting in a behind the scenes area of the National Aviary and enjoying healthy meals of fresh meat." (
