Idaho Fish and Game officers had to release a mule deer who got his antlers entangled in the ropes of a resident's backyard hammock. The deer was freed without much harm although his antlers were a bit loosened in his struggle with the hammock. The department has previously responded to calls about deer tangled up in Christmas lights, caught in support ropes from tree stakes, trapped in uncovered window wells, stuck in fences, entwined in badminton nets, and found with tomato cages from gardens wrapped around their necks.
