CALIFORNIA POLICE RESCUE A BABY FUR SEAL

A baby northern fur seal was in some distress after trying to cross a busy intersection in San Rafael, California. She narrowly avoided being hit by several cars before police arrived to rescue her. Nobody knows how she wound up in the middle of a busy street. The northern fur seal, an endangered species, usually stay 600 miles off the coast. This one, namedIvy, is currently staying at a marine mammal center.
