TIKTOKER DOESN’T UNDERSTAND NEW APARTMENT COMPLEX DNA TESTING OF HER DOG

A TikToker named Kallie (@kallieslayed) shared a letter she received from her apartment complex that all residents’ dogs have to be DNA-tested to hold those who don’t pick up their dog’s poop accountable. … PooPrints is a company that advocates for safe waste removal and collects DNA from cheek swabs to create a “genetic database” of dog identities. Samples are reportedly then collected from pet waste left on the ground and compared to the database to determine the offending dog owner.

… Kallie thinks is outrageous — probably because she either has a dog that she doesn’t pick up after, or doesn’t have a dog and has yet to step in dog poop on the apartment complex grounds.

… The complex says dog owners responsible for unscooped poop will be fined $350. If the fine is not paid, the dog owner’s rental agreement will reportedly be subject to termination.
