Could there ever be a Twilight remake? If you ask star Kristen Stewart, there is certainly a possibility.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Oscar-nominated actress, 35, revealed that she isn't opposed to reentering the world of vampires for a remake of the beloved 2008 fantasy film, this time behind the camera. She starred as Bella Swan across five films in the Twilight Saga franchise opposite ex Robert Pattinson but could seemingly be swayed to direct under the right circumstances, per People.

"Imagine if we had like a huge budget and a bunch of love and support. I would love to readapt," she said, quipping, "Yeah, sure, I'll do the remake. I'm doing it! I'm committed!"

Stewart, who made her directorial debut in 2025 with The Chronology of Water, praised the directors who tackled each of the five films in the fan-favorite franchise, that boomed in popularity after the highly-successful adaption of the 2005 novel by Stephenie Meyer and its subsequent sequels. Catherine Hardwick helmed Twilight, Chris Weitz New Moon (2009), David Slade Eclipse (2010), and Bill Condon Breaking Dawn: Part 1 (2011) and Breaking Dawn: Part 2 (2012).

"I love what all of the directors did with the movies," she said. "But they were so themselves and weird and kind of squirrelly and just so present in that time when they didn't really know what they were yet before they blew up."
