Two-Legged Chihuahua Alerts Owner to Heart Attack, Saving His Life

Champ, a two-legged Chihuahua, detected signs of a heart attack in his owner, Andrew Kuzyk, by hugging his chest and whining. Kuzyk’s wife acted on Champ’s behavior, calling for help that led to emergency surgery in Atlanta. Despite his heart stopping twice during the procedure, Kuzyk survived and is now recovering steadily. This isn’t the first time Champ has alerted Kuzyk to a health issue, having done so before his brain cancer diagnosis. Kuzyk, a dog lover who cares for six rescue Chihuahuas with special needs, credits Champ’s actions for saving his life, alongside his faith and wife’s support.
