If there ever was a story of perseverance this is it. 13-year-old Dakota “Cody” Trenkle Jr survived a 240-foot fall into a ravine and spent days alone before he was found by a search-and-rescue K9.
Cody was airlifted to a St Louis hospital with serious injuries, then spent 11 days in a medically induced coma. Now he started breathing on his own and is involved in physical therapy.
After months of rehabilitation, Cody is recovering with support from his family and community.
